I was a complete failure cooking at lamb chops though admittedly I did not and still don't have that much experience. I used a combo of lemon and olive oil to marinate, and they still came out tasting gamey and dry.Finally, someone recommended that I use sour cream or yogurt and that finally made them moist. I find the sour cream works better and I include all my seasonings and leave them overnight in the fridge. I have only baked or broiled them that way in the oven and not on the bbq though. I shake the sour cream off good, but not to the point of wiping them off. It has been a 200% increase in texture.

Do them in the grill like it says, the marinade won't come off it burns into the chop with the heat of the grill. It will cook best under the grill so I'd do it that way no other or you'll ruin them.Carl Said:

Lamb Marinade Recipe needed.?We Answered:
Ingredients1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lemon, zested (about 1/2 teaspoon)
1 lemon, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh oregano leaves, or 2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
In a small bowl stir together the first 7 ingredients. Put the lamb in a sealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Move the lamb around in the bag so the marinade coats them well. Marinate for 1 hour.

===I don't think it's really necessary to bother marinating them in the buttermilk first. Lamb is pretty flavorful on it's own and that recipe will hold in the moisture while it cooks.
