This is how I make pasta salad.

2 boxes of rotini noodles( multi-colored ones, they are usually red, green, and white.)boiled and drained.

Chopped onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and green olives.

Mix with Robusto Italian Dressing and a little seasoned salt and black pepper.

Chill in the frig for about an hour and a half or more. Enjoy!!

I think a really good and easy pasta salad recipe is to get some cooked pasta, and stir in some basil pesto. Add chopped tomato, finely chopped purple onion and cucumber. It is delicious, and so easy. It tastes best if you stir in the basil pesto when the pasta is still hot straight after draining it. And then add the chopped veggies.

1 can white corn
2 cans Bushs black beans, drained and rinsed
chopped purple onion
pimentos or chopped red pepper, whatever you have around
10 oz tri colored corkscrew pasta, cooked, drained, and rinsed in cold water.

Mix together. Dress with...
1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing mix
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
salt and black pepper to taste

Cover and refrigerate overnight for best taste.

My mother always used to make great pasta salad. She boiled tri-color pasta with frozen store-bought vegi packs that had broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots since they almost always had that in ther, too. After she strained it all, she would wait a little until it cooled, at diced pepperoni from the store and squares of cheese (cheese depends on personal preference). Then she would add Wishbone's Robusto Italian dressing, swirl together, and refridgerate. We all liked it.

here's one to try... boil some tri-color spiral pasta, cut up some mild cheddar cheese ( the block form ), a green pepper, and some pepperoni... toss that all together and add some classic italian salad dressing........ this is a hit with my fussy teenage daughters. Make sure pasta is cool first before toss with the rest of the ingredients.......... good luck

My favorite cold pasta salad is :
boiled "bow tie" pasta
sliced spanish (black) olives
fresh basil (finely shredded)
semi-dried or sundried tomatoes

Mix all the ingredients together with a little olive oil and garlic. Top with some shaved parmesan cheese.

It is great because it is really fast, really different and tasty and best of all can be made from things that can all be stored for long periods in your cupboard.
