Sautee mushroom caps in a pan with garlic and salt, then stuff them with your favorite cheese and stick em in the oven until the cheese is melted. They have always been a crowd pleaser for me! =)Happy Holidays!

Here is the cheese sauce recipe i use :) :600ml (1 pint) Milk, warmed
110g (4oz) Cheddar or mature cheese, grated
40g (1½oz) Plain Flour
40g (1½oz) Butter
1 tsp Mustard Powder
Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat.
Stir in the flour and cook gently for 2-3 minutes.
Add the mustard powder.
Remove from the heat and gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Bring to the boil, still stirring, simmer for about five minutes, stirring occasionally.
When smooth and creamy, stir in the grated cheese a little at a time, until melted.
If the sauce is too thick, add a little extra milk.

Gorgonzola stuffed dates:
Whole pitted dates
Gorgonzola cheese
Bacon
soaked wooden toothpicks
Preheat oven to 375
slice the pitted dates and spread about 1 tsp of gorgonzola cheese in the middle
Wrap with half a slice of bacon and place a soaked toothpick through to hold in place
Bake on a non greased cookie sheet (with aluminum foil on it for fast clean up) until the bacon is crispy(check it every 5-8 minutes, draining grease if necessarry
