Best way to do a steak on the BBQ?

We Answered:

Ok KING of the Barbies Here From Australia. Put the spices/ even little garlic crushed / maybe a little soy sause as it helps with the browning.and leave the steak at room temp for at least 30 to 40 mins ( hope it a little warm there) Then get ya Barbie up hot just before it starts to smoke.. Wack some olive oil on the steak and get that mother on the barbie. and only turn it three time. It medium only after a 4 to 5 mins
( takes practice). Then let it sit for a min after cooking so ya don't lose the juices... On ya MATE!!

can you cook Tri Tip Steak without a BBQ?

We Answered:

Sure, you can cook it anyway you like whether you use the Forman or if you bake in the oven. There's lots of different ways you can season your steak, try these out for size:

Dry Rub: Salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic salt, and some diced up rosemary sprigs

Juicy, Spicy Goodness: Spicy mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, pinch of salt

Bacon: need I say more? Cook the bacon first, take out of the pan, then cook steak in the grease. Add some onions, garlic, rosemary, oregano, and a little chicken stock to the pan and bake that in the oven. Oh yea.

Hope these work out for ya. Cheers!

How to make Petite Sirloin Steak Tender? BBQ?

We Answered:

Well, if you want BBQ here is my dads trick...I always make mine too tough, and when he cooks meat its so tender that it fall off the bone, and is hard to pick up by fork! He boils the meat for about 45 minutes on low...low heat is the key, and it takes most of the fat out. Then, you bake it in the oven on about 200 degrees for about two hours. THEN, you can put it on the grill for about 20 minutes and during the last 5 minutes or so you can put some BBQ sauce on it!

Its too windy outside to BBQ steak, but I have to cook it before it goes bad, how should I cook it?

We Answered:

Our weather certainly doesn't cooperate when we expect it, does it? May I suggest sauteeing it or broiling it? If you can't or don't want to do this, then just rub it with some EVOO, salt and pepper and put it into a ziplock bag and freeze it. Of course, freezing the meat does take some flavor away from the meat, but if you're set on grilling it, then this is your only avenue. I prefer pan frying (sauteeing) over broiling, but that's just my opinon and preferences. I do meat anyway I can wether Mother Nature Cooperates or not! Good Luck!
