Makes 1-1/4 cups
* 2 medium shallots, minced
* 1 tablespoon dried thyme leaves
* 3 tablespoons (packed) dark brown sugar
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
* 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Combine all ingredients and place in heavy-duty zip-top bag or plastic container with tight fitting lid. Add the steaks and seal the container. Place in the refrigerator and marinate overnight. (If using a plastic bag, turn it often to evenly distribute the marinade.)
This is the best marinade. If you want to replace the shallots with garlic do so. It would be fine.

I would preheat the broiler first and take the steak and place it on the pan with just a little salt and pepper. That will be very easy and simple and also be tasty. If you have time to marinade them, use some red wine, salt, pepper, garlic, Dale's marinade, A1 has some recipes on the back of the bottle or anything that you like can be made to marinade. It really depends on your taste. All I know is if you have some thick steaks, you should use some meat tenderizer on them and let that sit for a while and then marinade them for as long as you can to make them tender. The broiler can sometimes make the meat tough.

We Answered:Put the london broil in the crock pot with one envelope of onion soup mix, and one can of cream of mushroom soup and let cook for about 8 hours. The meat will be tender and it will make it's own gravy. This is a family favorite!

Toss in hot olive oil till tender.
Add the steak.
Heat till hot.

put in oven till cheese melts and rolls are warm.
Seve with potato salad or anything you like

We Answered:You can use beer to marinate steaks or Wishbone Italian Dressing works really well. Alternatively, simply rub with black pepper, salt and garlic powder.
Make sure you remove steaks from fridge in time to bring them to room temp prior to cooking. They will cook more quickly and evenly.
