This one is delicious;

4 (4 ounce) cube steaks
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1 3/4 teaspoons ground black pepper, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup lard
1 cup milk

Season meat with 1/4 teaspoon of the salt and 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper; set aside. In a shallow dish, mix flour with 1 teaspoon of the pepper. Dredge each steak in flour. Dip in beaten egg, then dredge in flour again.
Heat lard in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Fry steaks 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of the fat. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the dredging flour into oil. Cook over medium heat for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of skillet. Gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring frequently, 3 to 4 minutes, or until thickened and bubbly. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoons pepper; gravy should be quite peppery.
Serves 4.

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Season the steaks on both sides with Cajun seasoning and black pepper. Place the steaks into the prepared baking dish. Pour the lemon-lime beverage over them. Combine the cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix, and pour over the steaks.
Bake, uncovered, for about 1 hour, or until meat reaches desired doneness. Do not open the oven door during the first hour of cooking. Serve steaks with gravy spooned over.
Serves 4.

It gives you grilling instructions for how to grill each steak so that they all come off the grill at the same time just how you want them. It also has a way to add notes so that you know how each person wants their steak seasoned.

If it was already cut into small pieces, this is almost certainly stewing beef. It's from a relatively tough cut of meat, which doesn't mean it's bad--often it's more flavorful, but it needs low and slow cooking.
Find a good stew recipe. If you want to impress someone (or pamper just you) I have a killer beef bourguignon recipe (Beef Burgundy) posted on Suite101.com in the French Cuisine category.
If you're looking for something to do right now, use some hamburger or fish. Save the stewing beef when you have time to cook it slowly. Crockpots/slow cookers are ideal for this.

CUBE STEAK ITALIANO
1 lb. cube steak
1 onion
1 green pepper
2 tbsp. oil
1 c. spaghetti sauce
Slice cube steak into strips. Cut onion and pepper into strips. Saute all 3 in oil. Stir in spaghetti sauce and cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over egg noodles.

CUBE STEAK ROLL-UPS
8 to 10 cube steaks
2 pkgs. beef gravy mix
1 pkg. Stove Top mix
Mix stuffing mix as directed on package. Spoon stuffing mix on cube steaks, roll up and secure with wooden toothpick. Brown steaks in frying pan. Mix gravy as directed. Pour over browned cube steak roll-ups and simmer for 45 minutes.
NOTE: Use 2 packages of gravy mix when making 8 to 10 roll-ups. Use your choice of stuffing.

CHICKEN FRIED STEAK
2 pkg. tenderized cube or round steak
1 c. whole milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 1/2 - 2 c. cooking oil
Good heavy skillet
I start heating my skillet first and when it gets warmed up (7 minutes), I add my cooking oil and let it heat also. While that is heating up, I get the steak ready, pound each steak with the side of a mallet or palm of your hand until very thin. Place steaks (2 at a time) in shallow dish containing milk. Next, mix the flour, salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Remove steak from milk, dredge in flour mixture, place into skillet and brown on both sides. Continue cooking until all steaks are cooked.
CREAM GRAVY:
1/3 c. hot steak drippings
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste
I use another skillet, let it get hot and add steak drippings, flour, salt and pepper. Stir with wire whisk until blended. Next add 2 cups milk, continuing to stir until gravy thickens. Serve with chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes.

EASY ONION STEAK & POTATOES
1 lb. cube steaks, cut in half
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 env. onion soup mix
4-5 potatoes, peeled, sliced
1 pkg. French's gravy mix
In large skillet (or electric fry pan) brown steaks in salad oil. Mix soup mix according to directions. Add to steaks, top with sliced potatoes. Reduce heat to low or simmer. Continue cooking until tender, about 30 minutes. You may have to add little more water. Serves 4.

I have a simple recipe. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
Place on prepared pan and broil for 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare or until internal temperature reads 130 degrees on an instant-read thermometer.
*Note: Allow to rest for 5 minutes

As for the sauce on low heat, i mashed 1 potato put it on the pan that i used to cook the steak, add some water, black pepper, dark soya sauce,sugar and salt. After the sauce start to heat up, i add the mushroom.

I cant tell you how much sugar or salt i put cause i cook base on my experience so i dont know what is the amount to put.

Steak tip and noodles
* 1 pound sirloin tips, cubed
* 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
* 1 (1.25 ounce) package beef with onion soup mix
* 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
* 1 cup water
* 1 (16 ounce) package wide egg noodles



1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a 13x9 inch casserole dish, combine the mushroom and beef onion soups, canned mushrooms and water. Mix thoroughly and add beef tips. Turn to coat well.
Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour.
While beef tips are baking, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Serve beef tips and sauce over noodles.

It really all depends on what you want your steak to taste like. If you want your meat to taste like steak, then go easy on the spices. On the other hand if you want flavor infused meat, marinade for at least 3 hours if not overnight. Something in between would be refrigerated marinade for at least 2 hours in light seasonings. Also consider the context of which you are serving your roast. Is it traditional meat and potatoes or are you slicing for sandwiches? The easiest marinade is a beef bullion cube, water and onions. You could go further with choices like mushrooms, garlic, and don't forget the herbs. Marjoram is a good choice as well as thyme. I hope that helps.
