Guy Said:What is the BEST recipe for flank steak and flat iron steak?
We Answered:Funny thing about flank steak is years ago it was cheap because no one wanted it, but the past few years, cooks and chefs have learned that this is a very useful and tasty cut of beef.
The best recommendation I can give is to marinate flank steak with an acidic based marinade. This will help break down the tough meat. Also the way you cut it is important. Thin cuts, at an angle, across the grain is the way to go.
Personally I use the flank steak to make homemade beef jerky. Yum!
