Maria Said:

Could I do a beef, green beans and dumplings .....dinner or stew?

We Answered:

You don't say which cut of beef you have but since you are thinking of making a stew with it I see no reason why you cannot make your soup and substitute beef for ham, although you will need a heavier stock than you would use for the ham soup.

But, I must say, I think that I prefer the idea of dumplings :-)

Or how about this http://www.greenchronicle.com/regional_r… and substitute the vegetable you have got for the ones that you haven't.

How do i cook a tasty vegetable stew (with mixed beans)?

We Answered:

well, blend some tomatoes and chilli's (3 tomatoes to 1 chilli), fry in some vegetable oil (little), then when u begin to see the minute bubles of oil on top, chop carrots, green peppers and spring onions, add it to the stew, stir in red kidney beans, (the best for a beefy taste), add in a beef cube, i recommend bisto or knorr, and note, ur veggies must only be on heat for 3 min. Take it down and serve hot, oh add salt to ur taste.

I have black beans on the stove but I don't have any meat to add-any tips on how to thicken the stew?

We Answered:

Add 1/2 cup of flour and heat to a slow bowl. If not thick enough, add a bit more flour and continue simmering until desired thickness is reached.
